ABOUT THE ASH LIBRARY
The Ash Library website is a repository of selected papers which were presented at the 1999, 2001, and 2003 International Ash Utilization Symposia and at the 2005, 2007, and 2009 World of Coal Ash Conferences (WOCA). These papers are the ones for which authors have given permission for placement on this website.
The IAUS symposia were organized by the Center for Applied energy Research at the University of Kentucky. The WOCA conferences were organized by the Center for Applied Energy Research at the University of Kentucky and the American Coal Ash Association.
International Ash Utilization Symposia (IAUS)
The International Ash Utilization Symposia Series grew out of a regional workshop series held annually from 1992 through 1994. Interest in the information in the fiield of coal combustion by-product utilization was so great that, in 1995, the first symposium was held.

The World of Coal Ash (WOCA)
The World of Coal Ash (WOCA) is a conference combining, in one venue, the international symposia previously offered separately by the Amercian Coal Ash Association and the Center for Applied Energy Research at the University of Kentucky.
